Jump start the New START

New Post (40) : Jump start the New START.

The Republican’s bull headedness is “infuriating”.

The Republicans have repeatedly delayed action on the treaty over the past year and have signaled that they would block a vote until 2011.
(And) Why ? (Only) To deliver to Obama a stinging defeat. (He has made approval this year a top goal).

This is petty politics at it's shallowest...

The START treaty signed by Dmitry Medvedev and Obama in Prague in April restricts each nation to a maximum of 1,550 deployed warheads, a cut of about 30 percent from a limit set in 2002. It would also return US inspectors who have been unable to monitor Russia's arsenal since the agreement's predecessor lapsed in December 2009.

Meanwhile, Russia's lower house of parliament, the Duma, awaits US ratification to launch its own process of approving the accord.

A landmark opportunity is being frittered away.

The Republican’s must "cease and desist from playing politics at the deep end of the pool."

There just may be no 2nd chance.

As it appears---The "RESET" is in trouble 1

Golf versus Squash

New Post (39) : Golf versus Squash

More important than buying a heath plan is to have a plan for your health.

Golf exercises the wallet.
***In golf, a caddy (or caddie) is the person who carries a player's bag and clubs, and gives insightful advice and moral support
Golf pumps up vanity.

Squash exercises the body.
***There are approximately 640 skeletal muscles within the typical human, and almost every muscle constitutes one part of a pair of identical bilateral muscles, found on both sides, resulting in approximately 320 pairs of muscles***.
Squash pumps up the heart.

More later.
I am off to my daily sport regimen on the court.
