The rape epidemic in India. The prescription.

New post (228): The rape epidemic in India. The prescription.

I have a strong urge to puke when I watch debates on - "the subject".
No one has a SOLUTION/s to offer.

The “tadipaar” prescription

It’s time for – ACTION.

[The situation has gone way beyond inane expression/s of - "chinta and chintan" by politicians and NGO's - alike !]

Steps...
All phone calls to a specially designated number from rape victims and/or their kith and kin must be recorded and saved and registered on a data base. The local police station should automatically be immediately alerted to the information. So they can immediately approach the calling number.

A preliminary FIR must be filled in online on a prescribed form by a lawyer together with the rape victim and/or their kith and kin. This must be visible online at all levels of the police department with - oversight of a special cell in the home ministry.

Within a max of 10days if the action taken report (i.e. – statements recorded, medical examination done) is not filed online by the police then the preliminary FIR status must be automatically red flagged by the system to the status of a full FIR... Punitive action by department on the concerned police men must be automatic (computer generated suspensions of police personnel)

If a prima facie case is tenable, then - Between the 10th -30th calendar day……………

The suspects / culprits must be “moved” by invoking the “existing” - Tadipaar provision in law with the difference that the location should be an island in the Indian Ocean. To be guarded by the Indian navy routinely circumnavigating the island so escape/ friendly rescue is impossible.

(I quote- only to  explain what tadipaar means : Bigg Boss 4 winner Shweta Tiwari is getting a hard time from her former husband Raja Chaudhary, who has physically assaulted her for the fourth time in a year. Since it is fourth complaint by Shweta against Raja in the course of just one year, the police has now decided to extern (tadipaar) the actor, meaning that he won’t be allowed an entry into the city.)

A judicial review of the case must be initiated – in a court on a naval ship in the vicinity of the island - only after one year of tadipaar is completed.

If found guilty – the culprit must be left to stay on the island for an indeterminate time (not less than 10 years) after which until a panel of psychologist/psychiatrist do not clear the person for release he should not be transferred to the mainland...

If found not guilty – The "complainant" must be made to serve a 10+1 year term in a jail on the mainland.

Footnote:

Rape should be cognizable - when a person is “touched” by another person (of same or another sex, irrespective of perpetrator being minor or major) against the person’s will and wishes to pursue legal recourse.

[The tadipaar prescription must not be applied to offenses such as - stalking etc. The critical difference being the involvement of (so much or little as a)- Touch]

Black holes, worm holes, white holes.

New post (226) : Black holes, worm holes, white holes.

I need help with understanding this ...(anybody ?)...

A wormhole is a theoretical entity allowed by Einstein's theory of general relativity in which space-time curvature connects two distant locations (or times).
The name wormhole was coined by American theoretical physicist John A. Wheeler in 1957, based on an analogy of how a worm could chew a hole from one end of an apple through the center to the other end, thus creating a "shortcut" through the intervening space.
The most common concept of a wormhole is an Einstein-Rosen bridge, first formalized by Albert Einstein and his colleague Nathan Rosen in 1935. In 1962, John A. Wheeler and Robert W. Fuller were able to prove that such a wormhole would collapse instantly upon formation, so not even light would make it through.
(A similar proposal was later resurrected by Robert Hjellming in 1971, when he presented a model in which a black hole would draw matter in while being connected to a white hole in a distant location, which expels this same matter.)
In a 1988 paper, physicists Kip Thorne and Mike Morris proposed since that such a wormhole could be made stable by containing some form of negative matter or energy (sometimes called exotic matter). Other types of traversible wormholes have also been proposed as valid solutions to the general relativity field equations.
Some solutions to the general relativity field equations have suggested that wormholes could also be created to connect different times, as well as distant space. Still other possibilities have been proposed of wormholes connecting to whole other universes.
There is still much speculation on whether it is possible for wormholes to actually exist and, if so, what properties they would actually possess.
Also Known As: Einstein-Rosen bridge, Schwarzschild wormhole, Lorentzian wormhole, Morris-Thorne wormhole

Examples:
Wormholes are best known for their appearance in science fiction. The television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, for example, largely focused on the existence of a stable, traversible wormhole that connected the "Alpha Quadrant" of our galaxy (which contains Earth) with the distant "Gamma Quadrant." Similarly, shows such as Sliders and Stargate have used such wormholes as the means of traveling to other universes or distant galaxies.

Such abstract theoretical physics applied to cosmology is - way way way beyond my comprehension. [But mighty interesting all the same.]

Congratulations Mr.Putin.

New post (225) : Congratulations Mr.Putin.

Ураааааааа!

Putin has remained Russia's dominant leader and it’s most popular politician since stepping aside in 2008 to make way for his ally, Medvedev, because he was barred from a third straight term by the constitution.
Putin, is a man of action and guardian of stability. He is the tough national leader the world's biggest country and energy producer needed.

Ураааааааа!

Those “outside” of the country who have been busy fomenting trouble on the "inside" and are now disappointed and unhappy can - "go suck on a bunch of sour grapes".

Tilak – the 3rd eye.

New post (224) : Tilak – the 3rd eye.

If/when in doubt - use the ring finger for applying tilak.

Tilak : (Hinduism) a colored spot or mark worn by Hindus, esp on the forehead, often indicating membership of a religious sect, caste, etc., or (in the case of a woman) marital status. [from Sanskrit tilaka]
Hindu scriptures have designated specific fingers for applying tilak for different occasions:

1. Applying tilak with anamika [ring finger] gives peace.
2. Applying tilak with the middle finger provides long life.
3. Tilak applied with the thumb provides strength.
[That is why vijay tilak [tilak wishing victory] is applied with the thumb.]
4. Tilak applied with the index finger gives moksha.
[That is why the tilak to a dead body is applied with the index finger and the index finger is also used for tilak during the pinda daan and the Shraddha karma.]

*** The little finger is never used for applying tilak.

So - If / when in doubt – “Use the ring finger for applying tilak”.

Kashmir perspectives : By "a migrant".

New post (223) : Kashmir perspectives : By "a migrant".

Reproduced below in support [but without the author's permission.]

Here >>>

HOPE VS HOPE

OUR’S ALIVE, THEIR’S LOST

Alka Lahori

We are into 23rd year of exile where pain has turned panacea and wait for return longer, yet slender thread of Hope keep the memories of home alive. Home is where heart is and heart is where Hope is-- Hope of a sweet reunion with Home, or with own self, the ‘soul’ which refused to ‘migrate’ and has since remained trapped within the four walls, and every night, when conscious self goes to sleep, is wandering from corner to corner, meadows and cowsheds, as if looking for its lost nears and dears.

Exodus Day ( Jan 20th) brings alive the horror of that fateful night when loudspeakers perched atop mosques blared ominous messages for us ‘ Merge or Purge’, ‘we want Pakistan, with your women folk but not you’, ‘ we want Nizam-e-Mustafa’ etc. How I wish I were a painter, I would have recreated and frozen the pathos of the situation like this—Fleeing KP men, harried and dumbfound, barely holding the loosening turbans on to their heads, and tail end of KP women’s upper layer of long traditional head gear ‘Tarang’ flying in the air clutching girls tightly to the waist, frantically waving and imploring unresponsive bus driver and passing vehicles to take them to next safe destination; and gun toting Muslim neighbours cheering, jeering and spouting ... ‘final nail in your coffin’.

Indeed, final nail in the coffin it was meant to be. As a matter of fact they had been at this ‘hammering’ job for quite a long time— 1931, ‘51,’75 till the final push of 90’s, creating the Great Divide and turning it into between Them and Us.

Perhaps (mis)led by the theory that everything is fair in love and war, but the situation neither fitted in the bill of strict love nor war. It was outright brutal, it was treacherous and it was betrayal, which goes against the norms of the game of love and war. Almost every KP, who fled under the dark cover of that fateful night has a ‘Brutus, Yee too” story to tell. Blindfolded and gang-raped, Mrs. Ganjoo could recognize the voice of her neighbour as one among the culprits; it was the female neighbour who pointed Bal Krishen Ganjoo to militants hiding in a rice bin on his attic; it was again at the instance of their neighbours that militants came calling at Pt. Sarwanand Kaul Premi’s house only to create bloody mayhem later. It was either a neighbour, a close friend, a confidante or an office colleague who acted a la ‘Brutus’ to drill the ‘final nail’.

The night saw the murder of all that existed between Them and Us-- goodwill and trust, built over centuries of bonhomie and togetherness. After all the hapless community living on social fringes had yielded all the space, economic and political, in return for an unspoken and unwritten bond for a security cover if anything untoward happened. But the ‘Brutus’ act had undone that bond and broken the trust, and both went their separate ways.

But dead do resurrect from gave, as do the living dig a grave for themselves. For us these 23 years have been the journey of re-awakening and self-discovery, of rekindling faith in self and moving from despair to hope, from strength to strength and regaining self-esteem, we so carelessly had given up at the altar of communal harmony and India’s secularism. It has been a journey of great realization that we still have it in us to turn adversity into opportunity and write big success stories while in a state of exile. So in more than one ways we have turned tables on our coffin makers and doomsayers, who had written us off as people who would not survive the scorching heat of plains and melt away into dark corners of history.

And 23 years down the line, for them, as people, it has been a case of Situation Lost, where most of their dreams have come unstuck, hopes dashed and credibility down to dumps. The ‘movement’ they flagged off with gun-salutes has fizzled out midway, the gung-ho about a tango dance with Pakistan has gone awry, war cry for Azadi is non-starter; even unofficial partial Islamic system has brought more social malaises and miseries in its wake-- thrown up an ultra elite Upper Middle Class who merrily defy its code of conduct and rural poor following extremist ideology. Kashmir today is riven in middle and many layers down on economic and class lines-- a short distance away from what Pakistan is today, ready to explode.

The "tormented" have - arisen from the proverbial ashes !

Nonsensical judgment by the idle.

New post (222): Nonsensical judgment by the idle.

A (very sad) case of different yardsticks…

A nun is a woman who has taken special vows committing her to a religious life. She may be an ascetic who voluntarily chooses to leave mainstream society and live her life in prayer and contemplation in a monastery or convent.
The term "nun" is applicable to the Roman Catholics, Eastern Christians, Anglicans, Lutherans, Jains, Buddhists, and Taoists.
While in common usage the terms nun and sister are often used interchangeably, properly speaking a nun is a female religious who lives a contemplative life of prayer and meditation within a monastery while a sister (in the Christian religions) lives an active vocation of service to the needy, sick, poor, and uneducated.
Becoming a nun is a very devoted and vigorous process. It's about full surrender of yourself to God and his teachings.

When our nuns wear head cover and cover their bodies why then do we find that strange for Muslim women?

I am curious to know why we are talking about covered women in the Muslim community as if they are from planet-X while our nuns are covered exactly the same way.

All of this nonsensical judgment by the idle is…………nonsense.

Judge not for you too will be judged.

Live and let live.

Syrial killings !

New post (221) : Syrial killings !

Quote Open
A serial killer is typically defined as an individual who has murdered three or more people over a period of more than a month, with down time (a "cooling off period") between the murders, and whose motivation for killing is usually based on psychological gratification. Some sources disregard the "three or more" criteria, and define the term as "a series of two or more murders, committed as separate events, usually, but not always, by one offender acting alone" or, including the vital characteristics, a minimum of at least two murders. Often, a sexual element is involved in the killings, but the FBI states that motives for serial murder include "anger, thrill, financial gain, and attention seeking." The murders may have been attempted or completed in a similar fashion and the victims may have had something in common, for example, occupation, race, appearance, sex, or age group.
[[[***Serial killers are not the same as mass murderers, nor are they spree killers, who commit murders in two or more locations with virtually no break in between.]]]
Quote Close.

I am struggling to understand what all of this means in the context of the current “complex” situation in SYRIA…………..where all sides on the “inside” are indulging in serial killings and those on the “outside” are threatening serial killings………….a FREE for ALL.

Whatever happened to sanity and dialogue.

Thought Leadership – a new flirtation?

New post(220) : Thought Leadership – a new flirtation?

Before indulging in a flirtation with institutionalizing a thought leadership program in your company, remember---------that---------

"Most smart people in the world don't work for your company".

Thought leader ship is more about thought than about leadership.
No game changer thoughts, no leadership.
If you get your thought leadership strategy right, customers will sniff you out as a fountain head of expertise.
Your new products or incremental improvements will find easier acceptance.
Then, you'll [also] stand a good chance of attracting talent more readily.
Mistakenly so - content strategy is a relatively new flirtation for companies that want to improve their visibility and connections online in ways that prompt sales leads to come to them.
But thought leadership is, much more than content strategy.
Assuming that a regular supply of content is a leadership strategy is a blunder in thought leadership strategy.
Thought leadership is not all about - press releases, interviews, whitepapers, blogs.
A core attribute of thought leadership is that it must feed into product strategy. Successfully so.
Your thought leadership and your product innovations must be genuinely iterative.
Thought leadership has to lead in some tangible way, and it has to relate closely to what your company sells.
Thought leadership has to do with what you are changing or how you are pioneering a critical element of change.
Without this, you will eventually find [even] yourself asking the question - What exactly is it that your strategy “actually” leads?
Thought leadership is first and foremost about - path breaking “doing”. The “communication” of what you are doing can only then follow. Not the other way around.

Ironically your consumers can tell the difference.

Anti Aging - The Secrets of the Abkhazians

New post (219): Anti Aging - The Secrets of the Abkhazians

The lifestyle and traditions of 4 societies are worthy of study & emulation:
Abkhazia in South Russia, Vilcabamba in South America, Hunza in Central Asia, and Okinawa in Japan.
Those communities are known to produce people who live amazingly well beyond the 100 year mark.
The secret is really no secret.
People in those societies live well and continue to grow even at old age. Interestingly, aside from a balanced diet and daily exercise, the significance of --- strong personal bonds has been singled out.
One of the keys to people’s long life is --- the quality of relationships they are able to build.
There is strong medical evidence that links a person’s healthy interactions with others with his lifespan. Beware, because, loneliness can make you look and feel old early.
Among the popular regions that are believed to host the healthiest and happiest elder population, Abkhazia in the Caucasus, Southern Russia stands out.
The facts presented show off how the elders in those cultures aged in beauty. They are happy and cheerful and charming and healthy.
Old age has long been feared. It is not merely about the years that add up to one's age but the effects of it to one’s physical, mental, and emotional well being.
There are two ways to age: aging happily and aging sadly. Your choice will reflect how well you will enjoy the process.
Yes, the power to choose between aging gracefully and aging miserably is in your hands. It cannot be stressed enough that you need to make the choice early in life to enjoy the full benefits in the long run.
There is a powerful link between environment and health, culture and vitality and how they are significant to the aging process.

We can improve not just our lifespan but --- more importantly, our health span.

Frying pan art

New post (218): Frying pan art

I refer here not to the Food kind of art that is created in the frying pan.

Rather to what one artist saw at the bottom of well used and scrapped frying pans.

Take a good look at the bottom of any well used frying in your own home.

When a well used frying pan’s scratched, scrapped, burnt up bottom, is photographed on a black background …the image is one of – a celestial body suspended in the darkness of nightly space.

What differentiates an artist from most of us is the ability to see beyond the mundane.

After being exposed to his works, I have begun looking at objects lying around the home with a curious eye.

The images could well be placed in a scientific journal and one could not tell the difference between them and the real.

One man’s scrap is another man’s art.

Debunking - “The demise of the USA.”

New Post (217): Debunking - “The demise of the USA.”

Here’s a sampling of the opinions of some of the “idle” myth perpetuators:

---“The USA faces imminent demise due to three considerations. One and two are: its internal economic policies and the external certainties of Islamic terrorism.

---“Academic who has long predicted that an economic and moral collapse will trigger a civil war and the eventual breakup of the U.S.

---"There's less than 50% chance that the United States will exist by the ... of Warning U.S. Economic Collapse ...

---Four scenarios that could spell the end of the United States as we know it -- in the very near future.
………………………………………………………

The question I ask is:
“Why then are the brightest and the best educated youth from all countries continuing to migrate unabated to the USA in the droves”?

Reason: The USA is the most powerful brain magnet that there is.

The predictors of the demise of the USA are woefully wrong. These doomsday predictors have no idea whatsoever of – “what made the USA a super power”… (and) I am not going to give them a free education on this.

The return of the USA to the global centre stage and in a position of uncontested supremacy – will not surprise me --- at all.

Germany - Europe’s beast of burden.

New Post (216) : Germany - Europe’s beast of burden.

What Europe needs is greater integration …but - one of a different kind.

The mantra should be to facilitate and achieve:

“Technology parity among member states so each one becomes more capable of exporting to the world at large”.

The Tech leaders like a Germany (and a France and a few others) must share their proprietary technologies with their lesser cousins, such as the PIGS {Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain…and the rest}. Set up ancillaries outside of their home country and help raise their tech capability. Then use that supply chain to bid for export orders “collectively”.

Made in Germany must give way to Made in Europe.
National ambitions must be surrendered.

The EADS a global leader in aerospace, defence and related services is a good example to follow. Just scale up that model. To include “all” European countries.

Follow this principle in “all” sectors of industry.

A Europe that is cross wired in a “technology interdependence matrix” will stand together.
Think of Europe as a USE in the making. [Unites States of Europe]

Caution: The monetary union –and- the proposed fiscal discipline+union will go so far and no further. The required bail outs will only get bigger n bigger.

The problem of Europe is not one of economy and finance. Though that it what it has turned into.
The problem is – “technology disparity among the members”.

And so Germany - a tech giant with a global canvas of its own exports - will continue to be - the beast of burden of Europe.

Germany must lead by adopting this change in perspective.

Stay ahead in the patents race.

New post (215) : Stay ahead in the patents race.

I find myself struggling to understand what all of this means as a learning for similarly placed pioneers on the verge of going bust.

Quote(open)
Eastman Kodak Co, which invented the hand-held camera and helped bring the world the first pictures from the moon, has filed for bankruptcy protection, capping a prolonged plunge for one of America's best-known companies.
The more than 130-year-old photographic film pioneer, which had tried to restructure to become a seller of consumer products like cameras, said it had also obtained a $950 million, 18-month credit facility from Citigroup to keep it going.
The loan and bankruptcy protection from U.S. trade creditors may give Kodak the time it needs to find buyers for some of its 1,100 digital patents, the key to its remaining value, and to reshape its business while continuing to pay its 17,000 workers.
"The board of directors and the entire senior management team unanimously believe that this is a necessary step and the right thing to do for the future of Kodak,"
"Now we must complete the transformation by further addressing our cost structure and effectively monetizing non-core intellectual-property assets. We look forward to working with our stakeholders to emerge a lean, world-class, digital imaging and materials science company," he added.
At end September, the group had total assets of $5.1 billion and liabilities of $6.75 billion.
Quote(close)

It is in the main – “Patents and people” or/ people generating patents – that seem to be their savior of last resort. {...& not the banks).

The strategic question to ask in not "who" is the enemy. Rather "what" is the enemy.

That realization - to me - is "a Kodak moment"-----------------.

Avatar 2.0

New Post (214 ) : Avatar 2.0

The plot : Avatar 1.0

In 2148, the Earth's natural resources have been severely depleted. In 2154, the RDA Corporation is mining a valuable mineral called unobtanium on Pandora, a densely forested habitable moon orbiting the gas giant Polyphemus in the Alpha Centauri star system.[10] Pandora, whose atmosphere is poisonous to humans, is inhabited by the Na'vi, 10-foot (3.0 m)-tall, blue-skinned, sapient humanoids[32] who live in harmony with nature and worship a mother goddess called Eywa.
To explore Pandora's biosphere, scientists use Na'vi-human hybrids called 'avatars', operated by genetically matched humans; wherefore Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), a paraplegic former marine, replaces his twin brother Tom as an operator thereof. Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver), head of the Avatar Program, considers Sully an inadequate replacement and assigns him as a bodyguard. While protecting the avatars of Grace and scientist Norm Spellman (Joel David Moore) as they collect biological data, Jake's avatar is attacked by a thanator and flees into the forest, where he is rescued by Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), a female Na'vi. Upon sight of an auspicious portent, she takes him to her clan, whereupon Neytiri's mother Mo'at (C. C. H. Pounder), the clan's spiritual leader, orders her daughter to initiate Jake into their society.
Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang), head of RDA's private security force, promises Jake that the company will restore his legs if he gathers intelligence about the Na'vi,[33] on grounds that they occupy the richest deposit of unobtanium in the area. When Grace learns of this, she transfers herself, Jake, and Norm to an outpost. Over three months, Jake grows to sympathize with the natives. After Jake is initiated into the tribe, he and Neytiri choose each other as mates; and soon afterward, Jake reveals his change of allegiance when he attempts to disable a bulldozer that threatens to destroy a sacred Na'vi site. When Quaritch shows a videograph of Jake's attack on the bulldozer to Administrator Parker Selfridge (Giovanni Ribisi),[34] and another in which Jake admits that the Na'vi will never abandon Hometree, Selfridge orders Hometree destroyed.
Despite Grace's argument that destroying Hometree could damage the Biological neural network native to Pandora, Selfridge orders Jake and Grace to convince the Na'vi to evacuate. When this fails, Quaritch's forces destroy Hometree, killing Neytiri's father and many others. Mo'at frees Jake and Grace; but they are detached from their avatars and imprisoned. Pilot Trudy Chacón (Michelle Rodriguez), disgusted by Quaritch's brutality, carries them to Grace's outpost; but during the escape, Quaritch injures Grace.
To regain the Na'vi's trust, Jake connects his mind to that of Toruk, a dragon-like predator feared and honoured in Na'vi history. Thus connected, Jake finds the refugees at the sacred Tree of Souls and pleads with Mo'at to heal Grace. The clan attempts to transfer Grace from her human body into her avatar with the aid of the Tree; but she succumbs to her injuries before the process can be completed.
Supported by the new chief Tsu'tey (Laz Alonso), who acts as Jake's translator, Jake speaks to unite the clan and tells them to gather other clans for battle against the RDA. On the eve of battle, Jake prays to Eywa, via a neural connection to the Tree of Souls, to intercede on behalf of the Na'vi. Having noticed this convention, Quaritch organizes a pre-emptive strike against the Tree of Souls, believing that its destruction will demoralize the natives.
During the subsequent battle, the Na'vi suffer heavy casualties, including Tsu'tey and Trudy; but are rescued when Pandoran wildlife unexpectedly join the attack and overwhelm the humans, which Neytiri interprets as Eywa's answer to Jake's prayer. Jake destroys a makeshift bomber before it can reach the Tree of Souls; whereupon Quaritch dons an AMP suit and breaches the avatar link unit containing Jake's human body, exposing Jake to Pandora's poisonous atmosphere. In reply, Neytiri kills Quaritch and rescues Jake.
With the exceptions of Jake, Norm, Max and several other scientists, all humans are expelled from Pandora; whereafter Jake is transferred entirely into his avatar with the aid of the Tree.

Fragile art - mirrors lfe!

New Post (213): Fragile art - mirrors life!

I stumbled upon this artist…….performer.
She took my breath away.
Go to : www.sandart-ѕhοw.de
Take the time. View her “galerie”.

Frauke Menger іѕ a renowned sand animation actor.
Using οnlу hеr fingers, Frauke draws wіth sand οn a schooner table [whісh іѕ illuminated frοm below.]

The quick transformations she brings about in [the back lit] sand are …….mesmerizing.

The beauty of it all is that - she is wedded to her art. To the creative process.
But NOT to her creation.

To her the end product is only of fleeting importance. Transient.
The creative transformative process is all that there is. She revels in it.

Her art parallels life itself.

Besides - She defines new age art that is wholly compatible with the digital era.

A rising star of the animation world.

Say goodbye to Osteoporosis

New Post (212) : Say goodbye to Osteoporosis

Beer is a rich source of Silicon.
Beer MAY help prevent Osteoporosis. (a disease of the skeletal system characterized by low bone mass and deterioration of bone tissue.)
A new study SUGGESTS that beer is a significant source of “dietary” silicon, a key ingredient for increasing bone mineral density.
Wheat contains less silicon than barley because it is the husk of the barley that is rich in this element. While most of the silicon remains in the husk during brewing, significant quantities of silicon nonetheless are extracted into wort and much of this survives into beer.

A gem of a marketing idea - I’d say. A most compelling benefit sell.

Super. Just the excuse I needed to tank up. I am off to the pub……… [It certainly beats chewing on silicon chips. ha ha ha]

Want a boy child ?

New Post (210) : Want a boy child ?

Try and crack this problem. {the official answer is 50/50} ha ha ha

Math Question : “In a country in which people only want boys every family continues to have children until they have a boy. If they have a girl, they have another child. If they have a boy, they stop. What is the proportion of boys to girls in the country?”

Try and crack this problem. {the official answer is 50/50} ha ha ha

So - why all this fuss about it being bad to want a boy child. It’s exactly the same as wanting to have a girl child.

As long as no girl child is killed………. (and) if the math is to be believed……..nature tips the balance back to 50:50.

That’s something to think about !

New Post (209) : A world without in-the-face advertising.

Imagine … a billboard with only a giant brand logo featured on it.
A bar code or dot matrix code embedded in it. [A QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a type of matrix bar code (or two-dimensional code)]

Use your smart phone to click a picture of it.

The smart phone reads the code and opens up a choice of print and videos for the brand.

Watch the advertising portfolio of the brand at your leisure on your smart phone.

Then order what you like. (also from your smart phone)

Eventually the billboards will shrink to a (near) size zero.

This change will un-clutter our urban environs………..so we will “see more” of our surroundings.

He who will usher in this change and lead it ? …………………will make a fortune.

Are the telecom companies listening ??? Are the brand owning advertiser's listening ???

To my mind - The name tag "smart phone" will have to be changed - to something more appropriate.

This is applicable to not just street media (OOH).........same holds for TV & print media too. WOW. That (sure) would be a game changer !
