The attack of the Bots…
If a rogue wants to bring down a country's information infrastructure and he doesn't want anyone to know who did it, the weapon of choice is a distributed denial of service attack.
Using rented bot nets, he can launch hundreds of thousands, even millions of info bombs at a target, all while maintaining total deniability.
A full-scale assault lasting days or weeks could bring an entire modern information economy to its knees.
The rogues are feeding off of advances in (science and) technology---that are intended for good use.
One can only hope that no nation or nations will choose to “orchestrate”---The attack of the Bots…
The consequences could be devastating beyond imagination !
In an X-treme Scenario : 21st century minds thrown back in a flash to a middle ages world of savagery would just not know how to cope.
