India : Investing in think Tanks.

New Post (64) : India : Investing in think Tanks.

Think tanks are autonomous institutions …autonomous from their funding sources, be it, public or private that are tasked to contribute to the making of public policy.

India probably has the second largest number of think tanks in the world after the United States.
((( Not surprising given that both countries are democracies and encourage public debate ))).

As a modern/progressive and democratic society, India must invest in (both) quantity and quality think tanks.
The larger public good requires …the fullest use of experts and expertise (and an encouragement of OPEN debate).

The economy and strategic-security studies should be at the core of these think tanks. So, “”“iGUESS”””.
